E-SIGNATURES & SEALS

Please be informed that, as of 1 August 2026, user identification via video call for the issuance of a Qualified Electronic Signature Certificate will be available exclusively for holders of the new Greek Identity Card featuring enhanced security characteristics.

This change is being introduced to further enhance the security and reliability of the remote identity proofing process and to align with the latest security requirements.

Holders of the old-type Greek Identity Card will continue to be able to complete the identity proofing process for the issuance of a Qualified Electronic Signature Certificate through physical presence, either by visiting ADACOM’s offices in person or by submitting identification documents certified by the Citizens’ Service Centre (KEP).
