VMC Certificates - Verified Email Logos with BIMI by ADACOM
What are Verified Mark Certificates?
Verified Mark Certificates (VMCs)
Verified Mark Certificates (VMCs) allow organizations to display their brand logo next to the sender name in email inboxes. The logo is visible even before the email is opened, helping recipients quickly recognize trusted messages. You can think of it as the email equivalent of the verified badge on social media platforms, such as the blue check mark or the verification badge on Social Media.
Put your mark on email marketing!
Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) is an emerging standard that enables organizations to display their brand logo in authenticated email messages, strengthening brand visibility and increasing trust in email communications.
How does it work
Emails with a verified brand logo are part of an initiative developed in collaboration with the BIMI standard and major email service providers, aiming to create a more secure, consistent and visually recognizable email experience for both businesses and users.
How the process works:
- Organizations can obtain VMC certificates through ADACOM, issued by DigiCert.
- After obtaining a VMC certificate, organizations must implement email authentication standards, specifically Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC).
- Once a valid VMC certificate is issued and DMARC compliance is confirmed, companies can upload their brand logo so that it appears in compatible email clients. If an organization uses multiple logos, it can choose which logo will appear for each communication flow.
Features and Benefits
- Verifies the organization and its BIMI-compatible logo, allowing the company’s logo to appear in recipients’ inbox next to the sender name.
- Enhances brand trust and recognition, displaying the verified company logo across compatible email clients.
- Protects users from email spoofing and phishing attacks, helping ensure secure and trusted email communication.
- VMC certificates are issued by DigiCert, an approved certificate authority for email providers such as Google & Yahoo, and supported by ADACOM’s PKI infrastructure.
