QWAC PSD2 Certificate

The QWAC PSD2 certificate is a Qualified Certificate for Website Authentication (QWAC), used with the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol, as defined in IETF RFC 5246 or IETF RFC 8446, to protect data in peer-to-peer communications, and to determine who controls the endpoints.
- A Qualified Web Authentication Certificate (QWAC) is a recognised digital certificate in accordance with the trust services defined in the eIDAS Regulation.
- In the eIDAS Regulation, trust services are defined as electronic services, usually provided by trust service providers (TSOs) and include electronic signatures, electronic seals, electronic time stamps, electronic registered delivery services and website authentication.
- The QWAC will be issued by our partner, Infocert Spa, which is a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) in Italy.
- For its issuance, the Legal Representative of the Organization is required to have an Qualified Electronic Signature of a Natural Person (QES natural person)
