How to issue SSL Certificates



To issue a digital certificate, follow the procedure below:

 

1. Post an order via eshop, filling in the following:

·         Full details of the Organization (name, address, telephone, VAT ID, DOU)

·         Organizational and technical contact details (Full name, email, telephone)

·         Common name of the certificate (eg www.yourdomain.com or yourdomain.com) as well as the SANs where these are included (eg email.yourdomain.com, test.yourdomain.com and so on)

·         Duration of certificate (one or two years)

 

2. Send CSR (Creation Instructions https://www.digicert.com/kb/csr-creation.htm)

 

3. After processing and submitting your order to the Issuing Company, you will be sent an email to the following accounts identifying the legal possession of your domain name (yourdomain.com):

• admin@yourdomain.gr

• administrator@yourdomain.gr

• hostmaster@yourdomain.gr

• webmaster@yourdomain.gr

• postmaster@yourdomain.gr

 

If none of the above email accounts are active, the domain name authentication process can be completed through your server in one of the following ways:


FILE AUTHENTICATION

Through your server, the url is created and "clicking" the publisher should see the random value:

 

random value: (…… we give it to you)

The url to display the random value is in the format [common name] /. Well-known / pki-validation / fileauth.txt

 

 

DNS TXT Entry

TXT entry on either [common name]

or

_dnsauth. [common name]

 

Random Value (………… we give it to you)

4. The Issuing Company will make a call to the registered Organizational Contact to confirm the issuance of the Certificate on the registered telephone available in the yellow pages (xo, 11888, vrisko etc.). In case of Extended Validation (EV) certificate will be sent to Organizational Contact and related email.

 

5. The process of identifying the legal existence of the Organization is completed by our Company.

 

6. Upon completion of the above, the digital certificate shall be emailed to the stated Technical Contact.
